Why Relationships Fail

A recent Cosmo Magazine survey found that 75% of women do not orgasm during intercourse, and 45% said they “often fake orgasms” to please their lover.

Not all relationships fail for the same reason. Nor is there usually one reason for the breakdown of a relationship. Nevertheless, we hear some reasons more often than others.

The study suggests that money, sex and time pose the three biggest obstacles in the lives of newlyweds. The study found that debt brought into marriage and how money is being spent and the couples overall financial situation is the number one reason for the breakup of a relationship.

Balancing job and family, and the frequency and satisfaction of sexual relations were second most popular reason for the dissolution of the relationship. Those older couples shared with their younger cohorts the concerns of how satisfying and the frequency of sexual relations.

Money is the one thing that people say they argue about most ina relationship, followed by sexual problems.Infidelity is linked to sexual problems.

Couples that experience sexual satisfaction at home have no reason to be unfaithful to their lover.

How To Preserve and Improve Your Marriage or Relationship

In love, it’s the little things that count. A gift, a compliment, holding hands, a simple thank you or even physical contact can massively strengthen your relationship.

I have been married for some time now. Recently my wife and I were talking about things that we do that divorced or separated couples inadvertently did not do.

1. “I Love You”
Three small words that change your relationship. Actions speak louder than words – say it and act it. Speak from your heart to your partner.

2. Hold Hands and Put Your Arms Around Each Other
Physical contact gives your lover a warm fuzzy feeling and shows the love and affection you feel for them. The littlest touch can be as important, as a long night of sexual intimacy.

3. Say Thank You. Show appreciation for your partner
Let your lover know on a regular basis what it is that you like most about them — what you appreciate, what makes you happy, and what their strengths are.

4. Share Your Thoughts
Tell them your likes and dislikes, dreams, anxieties, achievements and errors, or anything else to yourself. It’s important to you, share it!

5. Be there
Be there and listen to the little things such as a bad day at work, a rough commute, or a misplaced item.

6. Give Little Gifts
Take advantage of opportunities to give material tokens of your love. Just the right magazine picked up at the bookstore, a special food, a piece of jewelry or clothing you noticed — anything small that tells them you were thinking of them.

7. React politely to your lover’s demands and shortcoming, a big killer of romance is great expectations. We all have our range of human failures and weaknesses. Learn to see and appreciate your partner’s idiosyncrasies for what they are—a part of them.

8. Make “Alone Time”
Too many couples give up on going out on a date after they get married. GO OUT ON A DATE ONCE A WEEK. I don’t care what is — a movie, dinner or going for a walk in the park. Just do it.

9. Never Take Your Lover For Granted
Cultivate a sense of gratitude for your lover and the thousands of small blessings he or she has brought into your life.

10. Equality
The Golden Rule in your relationship: do unto your partner as you would have done unto you. Try hard to divide up household jobs and care of the kids — better yet, strive to do more than your fair share.

All the best —

How To Spice Up Your Love Making

You've been together for years. The relationship's good, but you look back on the frequent, mind-blowing sex that you had in the early months and years and wonder, "where did it all go?" These days, sex is the same old, same old. Something you do on a Friday night, without variety, without much excitement.

Your sex life is in serious need of spice! A weekend at a fancy hotel, without the children, will do it, but that's expensive. There are plenty of creative, less costly ways of turning up the heat.

If you want to know how to spice up your love making, try role playing. You both get dressed up, go to a bar - separately - and then he has to try and pick her up. Or she has to spot him in a bar and make a move on him. Be outrageous, then cool and withdrawn. Have fun.

Do a little "dirty dancing". All you need is some Latin music and a few scarves. Think of the great exercise you'll get at the same time.

Rescue your sex life from the same old "wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am" routine by dressing up as a fireman or a policeman. Turn her on with laughter - put on your partner's sexy undies and flounce into the bedroom, hairy chest and all. After all, women often say that a man's sense of humour is the sexiest thing about him.

Talk dirty to your partner. Use all the expressions that would make your mother threaten to wash out your mouth with soap - "give it to me hard" kind of language. He will be shocked and oblige. Call it in: you get on a phone in the bedroom, with your partner on a cell phone in another room, describe what you are doing, what you're wearing, how you are becoming passionately aroused. Your partner responds with how he could take care of it.

The simplest things can wake up a dormant sex life. When was the last time you sucked her toes, kissed the inner aspect of her thigh, licked his chest?

You don't need a see thru lace teddy. Use your imagination! For more information on how to spice up your love making click here.

Depo-Provera (Injectable birth control)

I have a client who got Depo-Provera and I thought it was a pretty cool form of birth control. When I was growing up, I remember some women saying..."You don't know what it is like having to remember to take birth control pills every day". So, now you ladies don't have to take a pill every day...You don't have to worry about any implants, pills, or even depending on us guys to use a condom or promising to pull out.
The injection form of birth control, Depo-Provera, has become popular, especially among teens. It's a progesterone-only hormone: there's no estrogen in the preparation. It works by suppressing the lutenizing and follicle -stimulating hormones to prevent ovulation. It usually stops menstruation, too.
Depo is injected into the upper arm or the buttocks every three months. It's very effective, with a 1% failure rate, provided you stick to the schedule.
Depo-Provera is an excellent choice for females who are not reliable about taking the birth control pill. It is also beneficial for women with congenital heart disease and women who have heavy menstrual periods.
In the first year of Depo use, about one-third of patients experience some breakthrough bleeding. After that, only 10% of patients are affected. Generally, periods stop, which for young women is a real benefit, as long as you haven't been relying on your period to confirm that you're not pregnant.
Potential negative side effects include depression, weight gain, severe headaches, tender breasts and/or bloating. Depo does not increase the risk of breast cancer. It has now been proven that the drug prevents the absorption of calcium into the hip bones, spine and the long leg bones. For teenage females, this is the time of their life when they should be building up calcium. As with the pill, smoking is dangerous.
Females considering getting pregnant should know that, when they stop the injections, it may take 9 months to 1 year before ovulation and regular menstrual periods begin again.
Depo costs about the same as taking the pill. But with Depo, "you get it and forget it" for 3 months.

SEASONIQUE Birth Control Pill

SEASONIQUE is a new Birth Control Pill with a difference. A woman would take one pill a day for 3 months, non-stop. Then off the pill for a week, have a period, then back on the pill for another 3 months. This means you only have 4 periods a year instead of 12. Like all oral contraceptives, the pill does not provide protection against STI's. Talk to your doctor to see if this medication is right for you.

Hepatitis Information

Have had a few requests for information about Hepatitis, so here we go:

Hepatitis A is spread by food, contaminated water, oral-anal contact, and saliva. Symptoms include weakness, jaundice, headache, fever, cramps and loss of appetite. There is no treatment or cure, best prevention is vaccination if you are traveling.

Hepatitis B is spread by contact with blood, semen, vaginal secretions or saliva from an infected person, and dirty needles. It can also spread from a mother to newborn baby during birth. Hep B may lead to serious illness, cirrhosis, cancer, and death. There is a vaccine but no treatment or cure. Recommend rest and good nutrition.

Hepatitis C is the most serious chronic infection that can lead to cirrhosis of the liver. Hep C is seldom spread by sex but by blood-to-blood contact. This may be by shooting up with dirty needles, nosebleed from snorting drugs, blood transfusion, body piercing and tattooing.

There are two other types of Hepatitis rarely mentioned – Hepatitis D, which is a co-infection that can be transferred with the Hep B virus and is even more catastrophic; and Hepatitis E, which is transferred usually through drinking water and is not common in North America.
